Fire crew called after people stuck in cherry picker - Liverpool Echo

An eyewitness alleged that the people were fixing tiles on a roof without scaffolding when they got stuck

Fire crews were called and a road was closed after two people got stuck in a cherry picker in Sefton.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service (MFRS) was called to Bridge Road, Blundellsands, Crosby, yesterday (Saturday). An eyewitness alleged that the people were fixing tiles on a roof without scaffolding when they got stuck.

Crews were alerted at 13.17pm and on scene at 13.22pm. Two fire engines attended as well as the search and rescue appliance and an aerial appliance.

Merseyside Police also attended and assisted with road closures. On arrival crews found two people in a cherry picker, approximately two floors up.

Crews used the aerial appliance to safely bring the two individuals to the ground unharmed. MFRS left the scene at 2.39pm.
